How do I change the mode settings?

To change between Adult/Baby/Room or Object temperature, press the mode button (the top button), you will see the highlighted image on the top of the screen to determine which mode it is on. To change the mode for the ear, simply remove the ear probe cover piece.

Does the Multifunction Thermometer include replaceable ear probes?

No, the Multifunction Thermometer has been designed to be more practical by having a reusable ear probe already attached, after each use simply wipe down with a clean dry cloth.

How do I calculate the most accurate temperature?

Ensure your thermometer's lens is clean, you can clean it with a dry cotton swab. For a more accurate read this is mainly for babies as they have smaller veins, calculate their temperature three times, and the highest temperature recorded will be the most accurate. Use this method of recording temperature three times from each side of the ears too.

How can I change the temperature from Fahrenheit to Celsius?

Open the battery cover, use the toggle switch to change from °F/°C.

Why is the thermometer reading a lower temperature, but I have a fever?

Ensure you are in the correct mode and not using the room/object temperature when trying to record your body temperature. If you are in the correct mode but still receiving an odd temperature ensure hair, swear or heavy makeup is not interfering.

Why am I getting a HI error on my thermometer?

A HI error normally occurs when the sensors need to be cleaned or batteries are low.
